DJ / Producer Smoove Kriminal is no stranger to the UK Funky scene, but for those who aren’t aware, he originally started out as a UK Garage and Grime DJ in the late 90’s /early 2000’s, learning to make music on Playstation’s then Music 2000. With a diverse taste in music and a record collection ranging from Acid House to Hip Hop and most things in between, it’s fair to say, all of this helped contribute towards his current sound and ear for music.
Today he runs Night Kreep Entertainment, a label focused on pushing and releasing electronic underground music on an independent level, and has already featured remixes from the likes Carnao Beats, DJ Eastwood, EL-B to name few. The label is currently on the verge of it’s seventh release, Smoove Kriminal’s Drum Tactic EP, bringing forth a hybrid of flavours, namely UK Funky, Tribal House but also touching on Tech House, that is due for release on 21st June via his BandCamp page.
