Jason Jules, aka J Beatz, is a 26 year old producer/DJ that hails from the London borough of Enfield. Despite always having had a passion for music, after being brought up on hip hop, UK garage and eventually grime, it wasn’t until he turned 12 that J first decided to try his hand at making music himself. Armed with a demo copy of FL Studio and influenced by the young grime stars emerging in his home city at that time, it wasn’t long before he had decided to pursue his own musical career.
Now foruteen years later and J Beatz is a name recognised throughout the whole of the grime scene and beyond, thanks to a number of releases, including his most recent ‘Gyal From Brum’ W/ Capo Lee & Safone which is on SBTV and currently has 200,000 views.
He has also worked with some of the UK’s biggest MCs from the likes of Kano, Big Narstie, AJ Tracey, Frisco, Devlin, Skepta and
having his tracks played on stations such as Rinse FM, Kiss 100, Captial Xtra, BBC Asian Network, BBC Radio One
and 1Xtra. He’s also had media coverage from Complex UK, The Fader, DJ Mag, Dummy Mag, Mixmag etc.
With the focus now on his label ‘Crown Jules’, J Beatz aims to keep new releases consistent, as well as taking time to further develop his status as a DJ on Mode FM every other Thursday 7-9pm.
