DJ KANGA started DJing at just 12 years old. After saving up his paper round money, he bought his first set of decks and its been non stop from there. UK Garage was his main love and passion and he wanted to entertain with it from the off. Within a year he landed his first radio show on Londons infamous Passion FM and after a few shows on Passion FM he moved on to Smoove FM which is where he stayed for 9 months and gained some experience and confidence in presenting. He then moved back over to Passion FM and stayed there for 15 years, during which time he took over running the station for much of that along with hosting 3 shows a week.

After leaving Passion FM he held shows on many of London’s most popular radio stations including Shine FM, Freeze FM, Subjam, Pulse and many others.

His made his name in the UK Garage scene delivering full-on energetic, lively and crowd pleasing sets and has been lucky to work with every DJ and MC in the scene.

He has always collected and played House music alongside Garage since he started, incorporating the US ‘Jackin’ house sound in his sets because of there bumpy and deep bass lines which paired brilliantly.

For many years he worked in one of Londons biggest record shops, UDM Records (Enfield). During his time there he not only sold vinyl but also DJ equipment from turntables, mixers, speakers and everything you could need to start a system and get into music. When the vinyl scene began to decline, Neil (UDM owner) and KANGA started the only UK Garage MP3 download site, selling UK Garage to the new digital scene and taking it to a more world wide audience. This paved the way for lots of UK Garage artists to take their music to the digital scene and capture a wider audience.

He has been lucky enough to DJ all over the world and in pretty much every club a DJ could want to DJ in in England, including Ministry Of Sound, Scala, Temple, Destiny’s, Area, Brixton Mass, Opera House (Tottenham) the Opera House urnmouth), Sanctury (Milton Keynes) to name a few.

He has a collection of vinyl and music most DJ’s would give their arm for with music ranging from UK Garage, House, DnB/Jungle, Rnb, Old Skool, House (from 88/89 era) 80’s, 90’s and Old Skool Hip Hop.

He still plays out every weekend across England bringing his House and Garage style to clubbers and party goer’s with playing on radio still being his true passion.
