If there was one name from 2006-2014 that stood out on the London Hard House scene it would be Kevsey D. There wasn’t many events in London that didn’t have his name on, and it’s no surprise as he continuously filled rooms with his excellent mixing skills, and top choice of tunes played at exactly the right time. One key skill that kept him in demand was his ability to read the crowd. He never indulged himself with what he played, choosing instead to adapt his sound to what he feels the crowd is after while still keeping the Kevsey D blend.
After a few years away from the scene Kevsey is ready to jump back into the mix and bring his sound and energy back to the Hard House scene, with his first set back coming up for the new and exciting northern brand K-Zone in Nov, then in Jan you can see him play back down in London for one of the cities highly respected brands Bioshokk both these sets with Aaron James.
Kevsey’s sets are always full of energy, in fact in one interview he described his sound as a “hard, fun, a ecstatic journey”, which is spot on!!
He’s a solid and skilled mixer, he always keeps things tight and knows exactly which tune to play to push his set forward. He’s a great set builder no matter what time he’s playing.
Kevsey has played all over the country for events including; Frantic, Tidy, Insomniacz, Slinky, Twist, Hi-Oktane, Vicious Circle, Riot, Tasty, Stereodays, Sundaze, Summit, SunnySide Up, Requiem, Glowball, Encoded, Vinyl Warriors, BioShokk, Hard Time, Freeformation, Torque, Awsum, Feersum, Shine, Vi4gra, Nightshift, Nu-Religion, Inside Out, Disturbed, Total Mayhem, Just Groove, Concept, as well as playing in Ibiza two years in a row. While out there he played the Mainroom Eden for Tidy, Kanya and Eden For Summit, Boho’s for Atomik, boat partys and was a big part in the Hard Dance Ibiza weeks.
Most people who would have seen kevsey play would more then likely have seen him B2B with his partner in crime Aaron James. Between 2009 and 2010 a good 80% of both their bookings were together. Frantic, Hi-Oktane and Insomniacz at magna are a few of the big names that recognised the magic these two had been stirring up. Dancing to one of their sets was never boring as the pair of them were always buzzing from the crowd and this came across in the music that they played, dark, dirty, groovy, uplifting, euphoric and all within the hard house formula of progressing a set in just the right way, they would always keep dance floors busy and raising the energy in the room.
Kevsey and Future Resonance joined forces around 2011/2012 where Kev became a full partner of Stereodays Recordings, it was a highly successful brand with regular No1 tracks from many of the top artists from the UK, AUS & NZ. Stereodays started off in New Zealand where Future Resonance held many great events, the brand kept that going here in the UK where they had many events in London. One of the highlights for the brand was a tour of Taiwan where Future Resonance and Kevsey spent 2 weeks with two gigs that was a surreal and epic time.

Kevsey D is one of the best up and coming London talents to watch out for, as he has firmly sealed his place on line ups with consistent regular bookings from big Hard Dance brands including the mighty Frantic. His huge passion and enthusiasm for Hard Dance oozes out in his fully charged sets and now his innovative productions. A favourite of DJs and clubbers alike Kevsey D is definitely doing it right!
