Louise Plus One and Hughesee have both been collecting vinyl and DJing since the 90s. They are both avid vinyl collectors and play a range of styles
including Acid House, Early Dutch/US/Belgian Techno, Breakbeat Hardcore, Jungle Techno and Jungle/DnB and a range of current upfront styles.
Louise started off promoting nights as the mighty force behind the successful ReRaveAll nights held in venues like The Dungeons & Brixton Mass.
Hughesee started his DJing career on the free party scene around Beds/Bucks/Herts.
They met back in the early 2000s when playing on Interface Radio one of the first Internet Dance radio based stations.
In 2011 they united to form Distant Planet with some friends. Their first party was a big outdoor/indoor party at the back of a pub in Harlesden which backs on to Regents canal where around 400 ravers attended. Since then Distant Planet has gone from strength to strength promoting parties Day & Night in various exciting locations.
Louise +1 & Hughesee have graced the turntables at parties including Rupture, Brighton Loves Jungle, Glastonbury Festival, Riverdance, Calling the Hardcore, Mash Up The Dance, Kapow, Frequency festival (Portugal) to name a few. They both play a wide range of styles independently but play regularly together.
They also host live streams on their Distant Planet TV channel and have also done some Interviews with friends who have played at Distant Planet parties.
