Sharon-Rose is a recording artist, producer, songwriter, label owner and visual arts director. Recently, Sharon-Rose’s grime track, “Shell”, featured on various radio stations including BBC 1Xtra by Sir Spyro, Dejavu FM, Flex FM, Westside Radio, Pulse88, Pyro Radio and Fubar Radio. Shell is currently available on BBC Sounds and is a listed song on the BBC website. In addition, Shell was included in several popular grime Spotify playlists, including “The 1Xtra Grime Show” by Sir Spyro, “GRIME: KeepingItGrimy” by Logan Sama, “J-Fresh: Picks” by J-Fresh and “Roar Grime with DJ Lioness” by Flex FM’s DJ Lioness.
The radio success of Shell led to Sharon-Rose being offered club appearances and various radio interviews, and further enabled her to finalise guest radio co-host opportunities that were in the pipeline. In addition, Alternative New York rapper, “Gi Major”, recently featured on
Rinse FM by Marcus Nasty, Kiss Grime by Rude Kid and Pyro Radio by DJ Oblig, during her UK tour, has asked Sharon-Rose to remix a song from her forthcoming EP following Shell’s radio and Spotify playlist success. Moreover, during Shell’s early promo campaign, which was initially managed by Sharon-Rose, GIRLSofGRIME, a popular platform and event brand tha promotes female artists, requested that Sharon-Rose collaborates with them on future projects.
Sharon-Rose has several independent releases on digital stores and streaming platforms, with her breakthrough track “Feelings” being featured by DJ Pioneer on Kiss Fresh via Kiss FM in September 2018. This led to Sharon-Rose’s subsequent releases such as ‘So High”, ‘Shell Riddim” and “Minding My Business” featuring Frankie StayWoke, being played regularly
on Flex FM, Dejavu FM, Croydon FM, Mode FM and various other UK radio stations. Further, in autumn 2018, Sharon-Rose’s grime instrumental “Sicker Than Me Riddim” was featured by DJ Citrus on DJ Olos & Rebecca Judd’s popular Westside Radio show, ‘Grime Sessions”.
Prior to Shell’s digital release, Sharon-Rose promoted her releases without PR campaigns.
Instead, Sharon-Rose promoted her music primarily through Instagram. Sharon-Rose posted Instagram videos of popular freestylers dancing or rapping to her music or rap challenges.
