Apples biggest occasion of the year, Hi, Speed, unveiled not one, but a family of four new 5G-enabled iPhones.

AppleHi, Speed” showcase virtually occurred in the form of a presentation, live-streamed from their Apple Park Headquarters, located in Cupertino, California, on the 13th October at 10 a.m PDT.

The digital event showcased a series of handsets, set to launch on the 23rd October 2020.

The brand new iPhone 12 handsets characterise a new layout, new colourings, OLED screen as opposed to LCD, 5G connectivity, Pro feature expansions, a variety of modifications to the 12-megapixel digicam on the rear, the phone’s battery life, HDR recording in Dolby Vision and ProRAW 4K editing capabilities of up to 60 frames per second.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc, articulated: 

Today is the day of a new era for iPhone. Were bringing 5G to iPhone.

He later added:

“5G will bring a new level of performance for downloads and uploads, higher quality video-streaming, more responsive gaming, real-time interactivity and so much more.

According to Apple, the new iPhone 12 will operate on the companys A14 Bionic chip in conjunction with Verizon’s 5G network.

When it comes to the UK market price, the four smartphone models introduced by Apple are priced as followed:

iPhone 12 – 6.1-inch OLED screen priced at £799

iPhone 12 mini – 5.4-inch OLED screen priced at £699

iPhone 12 Pro – 6.1-inch OLED screen priced at £999

iPhone 12 Pro Max – 6.7-inch OLED screen priced at £1,099

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models will be available for pre-order on the 16th October, followed by the iPhone 12 Mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max which will be available to pre-order from 6th November.
