Reggae and ska have been a big part of Nicky’s life for as long as he can remember. The likes of Desmond Dekker, Pluto Shervington, Eek A Mouse and of course, Bob Marley (to name a few), were blaring through his mums speakers from such an early age, there was never any doubt.

He finally decided to pluck up the courage only last year to take on a new roll on the station as a DJ. With his love for entertaining people, as a mc, his knowledge and great love for this music seemed like a match made in heaven. It first started with cover shows, then, with the station receiving its community broadcasting license, was offered a bi weekly show.
” Boy what a year its been” says Nicky.

Early last year he landed a monthly residency with the mighty ‘REGGAE SPLASH’, getting to work with numerous artists within the UK reggae scene. It is going from strength to strength and he’s looking forward to what the future holds.
